do you prefer your shooter in modern times, sci-fi or historici prefer sci-fi because i think it has the most kind of games i like (halo, geow, resistance) don't get me wrong i also like modern (cod4) but there r not enough modern shooters i likeFavorite type of shooter
sci-fii dont like realistic shooter were you die/kill in 3 shotsFavorite type of shooter
I like modern the best because I prefer most games like CoD 4 and Vegas 2 over Gears and halo because they seem more realistic.
I prefer a variety. I like sci-fi shooters a lot, with some modern shooters mixed in. And then the occasional historical shooter
And what category would TF2 go in cause that is my favorite:)

Modern Sci-Fi.Owned? I like the way you die easily in modern shooters, but I want the cool gadgets in sci-fi shooters :|

And what category would TF2 go in cause that is my favorite:)
modern i guess
Sci-Fi, it is science fiction after all. Events in TF2 are not really going to happen, and the technology is special.
Sci-fi and modern. Basically anything but WW2.
Realistic isn't my cup of tea.Which is why I love Halo.

I like all three, but I like historic the most.
I prefer realism in modern and plausability in Sci-fi shooters. Halo:CE was Sci-fi perfection imo. Halo2/3 and Gears are just garbage.
I think the Turkoman was probably the greatest one ever created. It had the great mechanics like a Ikaruga but also the story as deep as SotC. Great stuff.
I prefer sci-fi shooters over other shooters. By not being bound by many of the laws of realism, the player is given access to many abilities and weapons and enemies are no longer restricted to humans/humanoids which varies the gameplay greatly.
Sci-Fi, because they don't try to be realistic which is very hard to accomplish. Plus they're generally more interesting.
But then you get restricted to the what the creators can think of which is much more limiting in one sense... all of them actually. That is why historic shooters are the best.

The good ones
Yeah, but history teaches us that unless you know thine enemy you don't know yourself. That's why history shooters aren't limited by things like creative thinking like sci-fi shooters are.
