They took out BC for PS2 games. To hard/expensive to dev. on. Gamers don't like paying for Blu Ray.(when it was unproven format.) Just a few that come to mind.
I don't know. I can tell you why I am reluctant to buy a 360,though. Hardware reliability. I want a console,not a timebomb(I might be exagerating a little,I'm tired :P). Perhaps I'm not the only one? Perhaps it's impacted sales in some way? Probably not,come to think of it. There are some people in this world who don't keep up with video game news,believe it or don't. Old fogeys,I say!
People on this forum need to realise that not everyone likes X360, not everyone thinks X360 has the best games, not everyone likes paying to play a game online they've already paid for, not every one likes RROD, not everyone likes the controller, not everyone likes achievements, not everyone likes Halo, not everyone like paying for stuff that should be free e.g themes, maps, pics etc.

eh, we'll see how things go once gtaIV ninja gaiden 2 and gears2 hit the shelves this year gurantee ya 3X sales spikesplus 360 is doing very well in north america so it's not hurting, since the majority of sales come from u.s. alone
plus I said it before it's gonna be a more even playing ground this gen, no runaway winner just blowing the competition away like ps2 did

Most of the sales are because of the well known label and the fact people do zero market research, and Im sure the failure rate of the 360 had hurt MS a lot this gen (it is very well known even by the ignorant masses, bad news spreads better).
Simple - it's a better system and has better games coming.
all i know is that its only outselling it worldwide by 30,000 or so units and in america 360 is back ontop like it should be..which proves the 360 did have shortages.
