May Nintendo Power - Final Fantasy IV Co ...

Don't hold back on the scathing if this is old.DS Fanboy
With good news, however, must come some bad: in an interview with Takashi Tokita, who directed the FFIV remake, the possibility of a remake of another of his well-known games is discussed:

''Chrono Trigger was a no-holds-barred, swashbuckling adventure that was a lot of fun to work on... If the demand is great enough, it's certainly possible. But as a creator, I feel the need to create new titles and not just series installments and remakes. I realize it's a little strange for me to be saying that in an interview about Final Fantasy IV (laughs). But I need to remind myself of that, too.''
Still no confirmation for other territories or release dates, I think it will be announced shortly before or during E3 for Nintendo's second half of the year line-up for DS. I hope to God their isn't a remake of Chrono Trigger, they're pushing it with Final Fantasy IV, Square is doing a good job of ruining the nostalgia of it's most beloved games. :( May Nintendo Power - Final Fantasy IV Co ...
I personally disagree with you. Square is doing an amazing job with these remakes. Look at FF 1-6 on the GBA, all of them were faithful, and arguably improved in every way. FFIV was one of my favorites, and from what I can tell, it looks like a pretty faithful remake. I no longer own Chrono Trigger and I never had a chance to beat it so a remake would be great for me. I could finally get a chance to beat the RPG I never finished over a decade ago.May Nintendo Power - Final Fantasy IV Co ...
make a Phantasy Star Online Ep. 1and 2 remake for the ds and i willl never buy a game again
instead of doing remakes, why dont they just put the originals on the Wii VC? It'd be alot cheaper that way.
i want a FF7 remake on the Wii since all the remakes are on Nintendo consoles :D

Alot of these younguns didn't start FF until 7 and can't seem to comprehend that 1-6 are actually good games too. What I want to see though, is when they get to 6 (the best in the series by a mile) that itgets redone on a console and not a handheld. Put it one the wii, and cell shade it to match amano's artwork. 6 Was the only game where amano's art work was used for everything, and not just concept design. I really want to do Sabin's Blitz with the wiimote.
I'm not in the market for a handheld, but if they remade Chrono Trigger on the DS and maybe added a few more dungeons and side quests, i'd buy a DS. Chrono Trigger is the only nagging regret I have about not owning a SNES.
