brawl could not be done on the gamecube. ...

i realise this is all damage control, but please explain how nintendo would have pulled off brawl grafics (and they are a huge jump from melee, like it or not) on the gamecube, not to mention fitting in all those modes, charecters and songs (304 song, biggest video game soundtrack ever) not to mention online play, that alone means it coulden't have gone to gamecube.fanboys, your fission was just mailed.brawl could not be done on the gamecube. ...
It couldn't be done, everyone knows that. It's way above GC graphics. It uses a DVD instead of the GC special disc so not enough room.brawl could not be done on the gamecube. ...
Melee came out early in the GC's life, if it had come near the end I can bet that it would have looked almost identical, RE4 looks just as good as Brawl if not better.
It could be done on Gamecube. I've seen better graphics on Gamecube. I do agree with thrones though space may be an issue with all the extras they added to Brawl. But graphically it could be done on Gamecube.

RE4.
what about it?
Looks as good as Brawl. However, if we had it look that good it would have ALOT less content.

It looked absolutely fantastic. If the GC could run that I'm pretty sure it could run a near identical version of Brawl. The soundtrack and little extras might have to be cut down due to capacity issues with the mini-discs but the GC hardware itself should be capable of running the game.

People under sestimate how powerful the gamecube was. I think it could have easily been a last generation gamecube game.
I always laugh when I come across threads like this. I'm thinking about buying a Wii but I know that when I purchase the console, the gfx will be no better than the Xbox's or GC's. Btw, Brawl could be done on the GC.
It's not the graphics, it's the engine. You can make it look about the same with some smart texturing, but you can't really play it with the Brawl engine. You will need to use the Melee engine instead.

You're right about the capacity issue but the graphics shouldn't present a problem.
Brawl is not a graphics intensive game. Look at the GC Zelda Twilight princess, it looks exactly like the Wii version graphically. And when you look at the character model of Zelda and such you can clearly see he doesnt look any better on brawl then he did in the Zelda twilight game.
Prove it. :?

One of the largest and most common examples of character improvement in brawl is comparing both Links. The Brawl Link clearly looks much better than the melee one. Is it because the gamecube not capable of producing those graphics? no, its because it was early in the gamecube's life. As you can see later in the gamecube's life in Twilight Princess the gc is capable of producing a Link just as good as the brawl one. Both Twilight Princess games look identical. This can apply to most characters and things in brawl. Resident Evil 4 and Twilight Princess are huge proof that the gamecube is capable of producing graphics near or incredibly similar to those of Brawl.
gamecude could easliy run brawl i mean wat's the piont of making a ''new''sytem with a new controller if ur top games don't even use motion senser bs??????
Graphics? The Gamecube could probably pull off Brawl. But there's no way that they could have fit 304 songs on one of those Gamecube minidisks along with all the other content.

I think you mean Link.
