I got a question on the Playstation netw ...

Can you buy ps1 and 2 games online? I don't own my ps2 anymore but would love to have games like that on a hd. Is this possible on the PSN?I got a question on the Playstation netw ...
You can get classic titles on PSN, but the variety is a bit lacking ATM. If you want great selection, get a BC equiped PS3 and not have to worry about DLing the titles.I got a question on the Playstation netw ...
There are some original playstation games available for download on the Playstation Store. There are no PS2 games downloadable at the moment. I dont know if Sony plans on making them downloadable or not.

pretty much sums it up. Just get a backwards compatible ps3 if you plan on playing ps2 or ps1 games.
no ps2 games yet but there is a very little amount of ps1 titles liek crash bandicoot available on PS Store

  • Any RPGs with sophisticated storylines?

I've been playing Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions on my PSP, and I'm thoroughly impressed with the story so far (I'm not that far in, though). Or rather, the story presentation. Sometimes I feel like I'm reading a novel. This is distinctly different from how I felt with many of the newer Final Fantasy games, which felt rather....fake. War of the Lions feels very much like history to me, because the world doesn't feel like it begins and ends with the characters the way the other recent FFs do. I've encountered very few RPGs with worlds that feel genuine. Most of the time, the world feels entirely contrived, like the world was designed entirely to justify a single plot point or a single game mechanic.I wonder, are there any other RPGs, western or Japanese, that have what I'd call ''historic'' storylines? Storylines that try to embed themselves as only a part of a long and complex history, rather than trying to make your party of characters the be-all-end-all of the in-game world all the time? You see it in fantasy novels all the time, where authors write stories which, while still epic, also feel like they are only a small part of a much larger world. It's what makes them so compelling. KotOR manages this pretty well, but only because the Star Wars universe has a long history that BioWare wasn't allowed to manipulate or define. The Elder Scrolls series attempts it, but since the story writers at Bethesda are pretty bad, they don't succeed very often.

Lost Odyssey has the best story line in a game ever for me, and Mass Effect story is stunning too
I know what you're saying, which is why I stopped playing Lost Odyssey as it became the cliche ''supergroup with two annoying children saving the world'' if that's what you were getting at.

Lost Odyssey has a kind of historic storyline considering most of the characters have lived 1000 years, you get to see there dreams which tell you alot about there past events which happened over the course of 1000 years. Although it's only text, there very good reads, they might even make you cry. And theres a lot of them aswell.
Baldurs Gate 1 and 2 are really good for that.

Nintendo having a hard time with DS stoc ...

What is Nintendo's problems can't they keep up with demand? ''We're seeing completely different sales trends now. What we sold last week on DS is what previously would have been sold in November %26ndash; so hopefully retail will understand that it is presenting stock challenges for us. But they are issues we are hoping to address. But three years down the road from launch, the fact that our hardware sales are increasing is very pleasing.'' - Nintendo UK marketing director Dawn Paine Everyone talks about the PS3/360/Wii war, but we all seem to ignore discussion of the DS. It's almost taken as a fact that the system will continue to sell insane amounts, with no signs of slowing down. Link Nintendo having a hard time with DS stoc ...
Handhelds are a waste of money, Now if someone could actually make a cell phone that can play games with PSP graphics that had a practical way of playing the games that wasnt clunky in design it would be worth the money.
